Vulval & Vaginal Care

Vulval and vaginal care encompasses the health and maintenance of the external genitalia (vulva) and the internal genital tract (vagina). This area of care addresses a variety of conditions, hygiene practices, and preventive measures to ensure overall reproductive health. Use mild, fragrance-free cleansers and water to wash the vulva. Avoid harsh soaps, douches, or products with strong fragrances that can disrupt the natural balance. Wear breathable, cotton underwear and avoid tight-fitting clothing to reduce moisture and irritation. Use sanitary products that are comfortable and change them regularly to maintain hygiene and prevent infections. Thinning and inflammation of the vaginal walls due to decreased estrogen levels, often seen in postmenopausal women. Managed with vaginal moisturizers, estrogen therapy, or other treatments as prescribed.
