Women's Cancer Prevention

Women's cancer prevention involves a range of strategies aimed at reducing the risk of developing cancer, promoting early detection, and managing risk factors. Key areas of focus include lifestyle changes, regular screenings, vaccinations, and awareness of genetic risks. Consume a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Limit processed foods, red meats, and high-fat foods. Foods high in antioxidants, such as berries and leafy greens, may help protect cells from damage. Engage in regular physical activity, such as walking, jogging, or strength training, to maintain a healthy weight and reduce cancer risk. Maintain a healthy body weight to reduce the risk of cancers related to obesity, such as breast, endometrial, and colorectal cancers. Screening tests to detect precancerous changes in the cervix. Recommended every 3 years starting at age 21, or every 5 years with HPV testing for women aged 30-65.
